yoga
I have been going to yoga at least once a week for the past 6 weeks or so. It's been a while since I have been on the mat regularly; I almost forgot how amazing it is to me. The space I am in when I am at the studio is at ease, in a place of comfort and growth. That space is where I want to be. Yoga challenges me in ways unlike anything else. It makes me stronger in new ways. It keeps me growing. It's part of the balance.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My love for photos with no flash leaves me somewhat blurry...................Now my prayers have been answered. This adapter turns any ordinary water bottle into a tripod. The best part? its only $10!
haiku tuesday (a day late)
do not negate the haiku.

you will talk to me later.

the balance
Is what it is all about. In order to keep yourself in a position to grow, a balance must be maintained. I am reminded of something my dad once said, "you need three things in this life; work, play, and love." He's right. For me, though, I think of it more like equilibrium between the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual sides of myself. Keeping the body strong, the mind sharp, the heart open, and the spirit forever seeking. Sometimes they can get out of alignment, but there is always a reminder if you are open to see it; the return of balance never getting more than a small step away.
I was recently reminded of this a few weeks ago as I came down with bronchitis. It is important not only to stop and allow yourself to recover from a setback, but to take that with you and recognize the way in which you have thrown the balance out of alignment. Remember it, use it, always allow for growth. Never stop growing.

longwood gardens
Is a great place to go on a Saturday afternoon. Took some pictures in the conservatory.
11/15/08.

Got caught in a rainstorm on the way out. Ate some fishes and then went to a housewarming party at John and Amy's. I hate to admit it, but the Barbary...again..............as much fun as it can be, I had an epiphany that the place is retarded......................
