some japanese art on a thursday

I am really into Japanese woodblock prints. They have such a clean and austere aesthetic about them that I find particularly soothing. This is probably one of the most famous and easily recognizable prints, displayed in sushi spots everywhere:

The Great Wave at Kanagawa, Katsushika Hokusai, 1831
