my birthday

Yesterday was my 30th birthday.............I am embracing the new and showing gratitude for the gifts I have been given in my 30 years on this planet. I am letting go of the old that stifles my growth, allowing nothing to hold me back. Living the best way I know how and continuing on my journey with grace and love.

northbrook canoe challenge

Sunday 5/3- I got a canoe as an early birthday present, so we decided to take it out in a race for the maiden voyage. It was raining and muddy, people were slipping and sliding all over the place trying to get their canoes in at the 10 second start. Kids were falling in and dads were yelling. I jumped in after a lost paddle and managed to bank us a few times before getting the hang of it. 2 1/2 hrs later we finished the 9 miles on the Brandywine from Brandywine Outfitters in Mortonville to the Northbrook Canoe Company.
